Image Preparation
The process of manufacturing starts from designing. As per customer requirement we design job’s
mechanical from out source
Cylinder Preparation
When we get mechanical from designer then we prepare cylinder of job from out source.
Substrate Management
We need to arrange substrates from our stock department. If we don’t have substrates in stock
then we have to purchase it from out source.
Ink Management
We have to arrange ink from our stock department. If we don’t have ink in stock then we have to
purchase it from out source

Introduction of Gravure Printing

In gravure printing, the ink is applied directly to the cylinder and from the cylinder it is transferred to the substrate.
One printing unit consists of the following components:
 An engraved cylinder (also known as “gravure cylinder”) whose circumference can differ according to the layout
of the product being made.
 an ink fountain
For indirect gravure processes, the engraved cylinder transfers ink in the desired areas to a transfer roller, and the
transfer roller transfers it to the substrate.

Lamination

If printed job is reverse printed then we need to laminate it so in this process through which two or more
flexible packaging webs are joined together using a bonding agent. In general terms an adhesive is
applied to the less absorbent substrate web, after which the second web is pressed against it to produce a
duplex, or two-layer, laminate.

Slitting

After lamination we need to do slitting process .Slitting is a process of cutting jumbo roll or larger roll of
material into small rolls. It is process to cut various types of jumbo width material to narrower width with
repetitive accuracy at a high speed process.
